Q: Are these pretty easy to install yourself?

The use of a multimeter and ability to follow your system power schematic will be required to located power source(s) on your HVAC/Furnace control board and to install the 24 volt transfomer. Once the transformer is installed, the light harness/power source can be connected to the transformer (best to use constant power source vs. the on/off source that controls your blower fan). Some units may step down from 230/240 Volts to 24V or 120 V to 24V. You will also have to cut your duct work using a template (provided) to mount the light unit. Check YouTube for some good examples. Will show everything except how to install the transformer (probably because of legal reasons). I hope this helps.Billy

It gets installed in the air handler where the air blows into the house

Q: How large of a house can this cover? do i need multiple or will 1 suffice? have seen 18 w and 36w units from honeywell so wondering which i would need

I put this in my 5 ton unit, house is 2500 square feet and it seems to be working fine. Only have had it in for a week but family if breathing better and no moldy odors
