Professional Gym Flooring in the Comfort of Your Home Our rubber top interlocking foam fitness floor mat has a 2mm layer of natural rubber on top of high-density interlocking EVA foam for an affordable, easy-to-assemble flooring solution that is more durable than EVA foam alone. Velotas Interlocking Rubber Top EVA Foam Exercise Mats provide a comfortable and durable lightweight surface for personal fitness and exercise activity in your home gym. Ideally designed and intended for bodyweight exercises, yoga and Pilates. Additional Uses The padding and versatility of this product makes it useable in multiple settings. Use under pop up camper beds or under sleeping bags inside tents. Also used for anti-fatigue and stability while standing in your home office, or while working in your basement, garage, salon, or washing dishes by the kitchen sink. Professional Recommendations ● When designing your workout space, keep in mind that bodyweight exercises and exercises involving heavy equipment such as weight benches, stationary bikes, or treadmills may require different types of mats or padding. (For areas with large or particularly heavy fitness equipment, we recommend the use of a Velotas High Density Equipment mat. ) ● Please note that natural rubber tiles such as these may have a residual aroma from the manufacturing process; this is normal and will fade over time. We recommend allowing the tiles to rest in the open air until the aroma fades. ● After installation, allow some time for the interlocking seams to settle into place with light use, resulting in a smooth rubber surface. ● Not recommended for use over carpet About Vélotas We’re committed to designing products that make getting and staying in shape a little easier. From equipment mats and personal padding to agility and speed training accessories, Vélotas is with you every step and stride towards your personal fitness goals.

Great workout surface for the money
This flooring is working great underneath our workout rack. We ended up using 32 tiles within one garage bay. The rubber top layer is nice and firm. I would never drop heavy weight from above my head onto this (as I don’t think it’s thick enough), but otherwise it makes for a great workout surface. One thing, if you leave a heavy weight in one spot for a long period of time, it will leave an indentation in the floor tiles that rises/disappears after a day or so.

Good but not great
Rubber layer on top of EVA foam is too thin it should really be 1/4" thick (not 1/8"). The tiles interlock well enough to work however the seams never stay perfectly flat so you end up with hard zig zag tile joints sticking up all over the place. Also the EVA foam layer is to soft and compresses to easily which just makes the joint separation issue worse. I did overcome this by putting double sided carpet tape under some of the tile joints. Lastly some of the tiles had a color fleck in them, not that big of a deal but a discrepancy non the less. Odor was moderate when the packages are opened, but after 1 week it is barely noticable.

Terrible Quality Control
Garbage: I tried to use this as flooring for a home gym.Complete garbage.1) Quality control is crap. I sent 1 set back because there were so many irregularities (different shades, unevenly cut. They sent another set w/the same issues.2) They don't keep their shape: foam is low quality, so putting weights down on them for a few minutes, and the foam gets impacted, and now you have a nice dent in your flooring.3) They don't stay in place if you plan on putting more than 3 in a row or column, I used double-sided tape to tape some of them down.4) The foam on the bottom sucks up water. A small amount of Water got in through the garage door and the edges of the foam tiles sucked the water up so that 2 to 3 rows in, the foam tiles were wet. If you do plan on using this for flooring, you will need to seal the edges in some way. Since the teeth are also terribly imprecise, spills will lead to mold/mildew.

Same thickness as more expensive similar product
I ordered 2(six tiles) sets from a "Health and Fitness" company who advertised theirs as being ½ inch thick as opposed to this identical looking product but advertised as ⅜" thick. I decided that they were probably the same and these were much less expensive-I tried them side by side and they are the same thickness! They are around 11.2 mm thick-between ⅜ and ½" .Velotas underspeced theirs and charges less, the other company sold theirs as ½ and it is not.

Great for home garage gyms!
In image 1: I have 4 anchor bolts in my garage cutout floor (back right corner)-it was fairly easy to push them up through the bottom of the pad without causing any cracking or additional tearing. I was also able to make clean cuts in the pad with a box cutter (using a brand new blade) to fit around the support beam at the back left part of the wall. Each square coming with its own removable border strip makes it very easy to tailor the pads to any space, no matter the angles & shapes, without worrying about wasting a corner or side piece like in other sets with fixed edges.Image 2 shows all sizes & weights of equipment I now have on the pads. The weight machine system & elliptical were both moved a little briefly from their original spots, and only left indents in the pad w/ no signs of tearing or cracking to indicate the pads aren’t sturdy or thick enough.Only thing not “perfect” about them is the variation in tone between some of the squares- kind of makes it look like different sets pieces together. I DID purchase two sets to fill the space, but the varying tones came within one of the sets. *Also, if using in a room with poor ventilation, may want to unpack them & set in an outside area to air out for a day or two- they do have an odor that may bother some. With all the driving in/out of my garage, the smell seemed to go away after a couple days- not sure how long if using in a home interior room.

Beast Mats!
Got these rubber topped mats for my home movement studio. All I can say is that they are absolutely beast mode. They are not mats you will find locally. High quality, durable, heavy, and thick. Putting together was easy just pay focus on your work. Only thing I will say is that they STINK. I cleaned with cleaning spray to disinfect and try to remove the smell but very strong odor. I hope that with time it will go away! Other than that, I am absolutely happy with my investment and I would highly recommend them to you as well if you are looking for some serious mats. It's worth paying extra for the rubber top!Tip: I purchased mat tape. Alot of people complain on amazon about these puzzle interlocking mats because they might move. First, these are not light mats, they are heavy so even if you didn't buy the tape they probably wouldn't move. Second, I believe other people are buying mats that are your typical 1/2 inch design, if so the tape is def. necessary! The brand I bought "Meister Double-Sided XL Floor Mat Tape". If you think this will happen. I have had no issue with movement on these mats at all.

Great look and very durable. Highly recommended for home gym.
This product was exactly as described. Install was super easy and the final result was perfect. We floored our entire spare bedroom with this to convert it into a workout room. Installed straight onto the concrete. The look and feel is that of a professional gym. It is very durable and we have put many heavy things on the floor without damaging or denting it.

Seems quite durable and meets the intended use
I have had this in place for a few weeks. Seems to clamp well on to each other. The joints are not the smoothest but over time they may settle - then again, they may lift more too? I did use a rubber mallet to tap down the joins. But it does what it says and I think the 3/8" thickness is fine to do exercise on a concrete floor - I have it in my garage. They do seem pretty durable but again, time will tell and I don't have any heavy gear sitting on it. The price delta between these and the non-rubber coated matts seem a little steep.
